Walk leads past warm low paddy fields to reach high cooler alpine hills covered with tall rhododendron, magnolia and pine forest and exploring Sherpa villages of Simi-Gaon and Beding of great interest with impressive Buddhist culture and old custom. After Beding leaving the last human settlement and village to reach at the end of scenic Rolwaling valley where our true adventure begins heading to cross over high Tashi-Lambtsa La enclosed within giant peaks, a strenuous climb to reach the top of the pass surrounded by series of mountains.

April to May, spring time will be the best time when wild-flowers especially rhododendron (Nepal national flower) in full bloom, which makes walk even more interesting with fine clear morning till afternoon, with some chances of rains sometimes by late afternoon times.

October to November another best months around Autumn/Fall when most of the days are clear for views and walks but can be much colder and freezing as altitude gains with chances of snow sometimes.

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu via various airlines and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: In Kathmandu options for sightseeing tour and trek preparation.

Day 03: Drive to Gongar 1,400 m via Charikot - 07 hrs journeys.
  • Adventure begins with morning drive on interesting road over Himalayan foothills past farm villages and towns to reach at scenic Charikot town.
  • From here route diverts from main Jiri road to Dolkha and upper Rolwaling area, drive leads past farm villages around warmer places.
  • To reach at Gongar, a small farm village by Tama Kosi River flows from Tibet which a mere distance from our overnight camp at Gongar.

Day 04: Trek to Simi-Gaon 1,980 m- 05 hrs.
  • First day walk of the adventure crossing Tama Kosi, into a gorge to reach at Chetchet with cascading waterfall
  • From here onward into cool area, on leaving rice field and sub tropical climate, as route leads to climb into alpine area for an hour walk on gradual path, with last climb to Simi-Gaon village for overnight stop.
  • Simi-Gaon where Sherpa people domination begins a village yielding corns, potatoes, wheat, barley and millets, afternoon visit old monastery with views of the Mt. Gaurishankar and Melung Tse peak.

Day 05: Trek to Dovan 2,850 m - 05 hrs.
  • Morning walk starts heading North East with climb past farm fields and into serene rhododendron, oaks, magnolia, and pine forest
  • Past summer pasture grazing area, continue to reach a hill side and then downhill to a river at Gyalche, an hour walk to overnight camp at Dovan.
  • Dovan located by a river that flows from high mountains a small settlement in the midst of forest with few houses.

Day 06: Trek to Beding 3,690m - 05 hrs.
  • Morning cross Rolwaling khola (stream) then climb into  forest, as path winds up to reach Nyimare and Ramding a small farm and temporary settlements.
  • Walk continues with climb to reach at Beding village for overnight camp, Beding village home of large Sherpa community and last village within Rolwaling Valley.
  • Located in a gorge valley with old monastery on top of the village with primary school supported by Hillary foundation

Day 07: Rest day for acclimatization and short hike around.
  • Important and necessary for rest day and acclimatization before heading towards our higher destinations towards high pass of Tashi Labtsa La.
  • At Beding village short hike and visit around village and for best views of  Mt. Gaurishankar and Melung Tse (Jobo Garee).

Day 08: Trek to Na-Gaon 4,180m - 04hrs.
  • Walk today leads to the end of beautiful Rolwaling valley beneath towering  Mt. Gaurishankar 7,145 m and Melung Tse (Jobo Garee) at 7,181 m.
  • On leaving Beding village walk on gradual uphill views of Gaurishankar, Melung Tse, Ramdung go 5,930 m,  Chukyima go 6,259 m, Tabayabyum 5,558 m, and Yalung ri 5,630 m.
  • Walk progress into a wide glacial valley at the end of Rolwaling valley where mountain wall surrounds, after pleasant walk reach Na-Gaon, a temporary settlement of Beding cattle herders.
  • Na-Gaon a wide summer pasture, people here grow potato, wheat’s and barley with time to relax, catch up with the dairy or short walks.

Day 09: Trek to Kabuk at Tsho Rolpa 4,560m - 05 hrs.
  • After Na-Gaon, adventure continues to the end of Rolwaling Valley, and then crossing small streams to Sangma a yak grazing pasture area.
  • From here cross a wooden short bridge the steep climb over moraine and streams to reach at a dam of Tsho Rolpa.
  • The glacial lake also called Cho Pokhari, camps set on sandy level ground on the southern bank of Tsho Rolpa at Kabuk with views of Tsoboje 6,689 m and Dragker- Go 6,793 meters.

Day 10: Trek to Drolambau Glacier at Teshi Lapcha Base of 5,400 m high - 05 hrs.
  • A true wilderness around with sound of nature and ice crack which you can hear during night times, morning walk with climb above moraine to northern bank of Tsho Rolpo,
  • From here walk above glacier to the centre of rocky glacier to reach and set campsite right at the bottom of Drolambu icefall
  • After camp is set, our guides will scout around for best route to reach on top of  Tashi Labtsa -La.
  • As path can misleads due to change of glacier movement with rock falls every season.

Day 11: Cross Teshi Lapcha at 5,755 m and to Thyangbo 4,230 - 08 hrs.
  • An adventurous day starting early morning climb towards glacier section for an hour, then to a spur climb on upper glacier.
  • From here needs ropes to be fixed and making ledge for staffs and porters, climb to the pass is not difficult except in snow conditions, have to be careful avoiding some fatal accidents loose falling rocks might occur in this high mountain sections.
  • After the climb to top of the pass taking near four hours with strenuous climb to the top of Tashi-Labtsa at 5,755 m
  • Crossing pass like short mountaineering adventure, some time it requires crampons and ice axe to make the route accessible.
  • After a break enjoy super views of surrounding peaks with close Mt. Pachermo at 6,273 meters high and on the north Teng Ragi Tau at 6,940 meters.
  • At the top of Tashi Labtsa pass decorated with Buddhist prayer flags and cairns, journey continues to reach Khumbu and Everest region with long descend to camp at Thyangbo for overnight stop
  • A summer pastures area for cattle and yaks herders of Thame and surrounding near villages.

Day 12: Trek to Thame 3,820 m - 05 hrs.
  • After a hard long day of previous day, morning walk much easier on gradual downhill walk most of the way to Thame villages.
  • A good walk reaches you at nice Thame village for overnight stop in the comfort of nice cozy lodge, from here on staying in lodge till Lukla.
  • At Thame visit Thame monastery, one of the oldest Gompa of the region.

Day 13: Trek to Namche Bazaar via Thamo - 05 hrs.
  • Walk down and up and on nice trails back into green tree lines to reach at Namche Bazaar via Thamo village
  • Overnight at Namche with afternoon free for rest and short walks

Day 14: Rest day (contingency day) at Namche Bazaar and for local hike.
  • At Namche rest day to explore around view points to get a close super glance of Mt. Everest and peaks of Khumbu
  • Suggested walk above Namche to national park museum with grand views
  • Other options climb high to Everest View Hotel for best views of Everest.

Day 15: Trek to Lukla - 06 hrs.
  • From Namche downhill to Sagarmatha National Park unto Phakding
  • After Phakding few hours walk with last final climb to Lukla
  • On reaching Lukla transfer to nice cozy lodge for last night in Khumbu and Everest Region.

Day 16: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
