Everest Panorama Trek is a great way to spend your short adventure facing views of world highest Mt. Everest. Along the way to route of trekking to reach top and beautiful spot at Thyangboche. Thyangboche one of the highlights located on a small high plateau surrounded by green alpine woodland of rhododendron, oaks, junipers, pines and silver fir trees with commanding views of snow-capped peaks with Everest that encircles Thyangboche and its colorful monastery at the height of 3,867 m high.

Starts with a short scenic flight from the capital Kathmandu to reach at Lukla with a fabulous panorama of mountains with views of Everest during air journey, from Lukla, leads on the gentle downhill with few short ups following glacial Dudh Kosi River and crossing bridges several times to reach high above famous Namche Bazaar.

At Namche a large village, a town with beautiful houses that serves as lodge and hotels with many necessary facilities for visitors where once a week a colorful Saturday market takes place. From Namche journey leads with scenic views of peaks with Everest and majestic Amadablam and walking into serene forest higher up to reach the beautiful spot at Thyangboche and its monastery.

Thyangboche is the point of the marvelous and magnificent beauty of mountain views with Everest-Amadablam and other adjoining peaks with time to visit its impressive monastery and then downhill to Lukla. Before Lukla from Thyangboche walk leads you at Khumjung village located on a wide glacial valley with grand views of mountains here enjoy the fascinating culture of Sherpa and visiting its old monastery, the only place where you can witness a scalp believed to be of a Yeti.

From Khumjung walk to Khunde village and down to Namche to reach Dudh Kosi River valley and then completing our great marvelous journey at Lukla where short flight brings you back at Kathmandu, after a beautiful experience on Everest Panorama Trekking.

Best Seasons for Everest Panorama Trekking:

Nearly all seasons of the year can trek, where March to May springtime will be the best time when wild-flowers especially the rhododendron (Nepal national flower) in full bloom, which the walk more attractive with beautiful, bright morning till afternoon, with some chances of rains sometimes.

October to December another best months around Autumn/Fall and pre-winter, when most of the days are clear for views and walks but can be much colder and freezing as altitude gains with chances of snow sometimes.

Monsoon months from mid June to mid September a wet rainy seasons where less number of trekkers venture and some lodge in mid monsoon and mid-winter lodge can be closed sometimes due to harsh and humid climate which makes the walking trails much harder and slippery, but much greener hills with lush vegetation in wet seasons, so the choice as per your holidays for Nepal and for Everest Panorama Trekking.

Day 08: Trek to Monjo 2,880 via Namche Bazaar - 06 hrs

How can I book for Everest Panorama trekking and when?

You can book at least a minimum of 4 weeks before our trek departure dates, sending us a 25% advance payment as per company norms and rules of the company.

Make sure and check your medical and physical fitness before signing up the trip and as well purchasing medical and travel insurance essential for this kind of high altitude treks in Nepal Himalaya.

How many persons in the group?

From minimum 3 to 4 persons in the group and maximum number from 10 to15 persons in one group, sometimes we run treks for single person as well where price will be slightly higher than in groups.

What will be the weather like on the treks?

As season wise, best times from March to May, most of the day is clear with minimum temperatures of 0° to 20° Celsius depending upon the altitude wise.

Where most of the morning till mid days clears for views and walks, sometimes afternoon can get overcast with chances of light rains and snow.

March to May will be lively with wild-flowers in full bloom especially various species of rhododendron (national flower of Nepal) from trees to short bushes.

What type of facilities to expect on lodge and Tea-House on Treks?

Tea-House and Lodge on route trekking standard and good lodges with nice room accommodations, serving excellent food menu as per altitude and season wise.

Higher area above 4,000 m where lodges are available but due to freezing cold temperatures in night and morning time where they have toilets are outside, with some inside as common bath rooms and rest rooms. All rooms and dining are warm with fire place to heat makes it cozy to make your stay much pleasant and enjoyable.

What about electricity and network for cell-phones?

Most places have electricity on trekking run by hydro and solar power after Namche and Thyangboche, where much of electric supply are private and individual of the lodge owners with sun / solar power to activate electric just for the lodge and as well for customers to charge their computers and cell-phones.

Some places do have networks for cell phones and as well for internets like Wi-Fi above Dingboche and some areas due to high peaks and hills, the networks are disturbed in deep areas like around river gorge areas.

At present all local people in villages do have cell-phones with good network connection just in bad weather where line can be disturbed sometimes due bad weather and at places located in deep gorge area.

What happens if some is sick and have to break the trek?

AAG guides are expert with good knowledge for emergency and medical purpose, depending pon the seriousness of the victims if it is much critical where nearest medical attention needed, we call for immediate evacuation for Helicopter services to reach the victims to nearest medical station and hospital.

For light AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), resting and drinking enough fluid leaving an extra guide to take care of sick clients till he / she recovers on route treks or help them to descend to safer areas and taking an advance flight back to Kathmandu.

How are meals in lodges and hygiene wise on treks?

Meals are prepared according to your choice of menu items, all foods are carefully prepared with much hygiene concern, avoiding from complaints and reputation of the lodges, as they have been serving for more than two decades to world-wide travelers.

Do people could get sick while on treks and why?

To be on healthy side before and after treks get advice from your guides what will be the best food to order while on treks, we strongly suggest staying away from meats items in the first place, as it is not hygienic could be stale meat of a week time or more. If you go with vegetarian for sometimes will be the best options to stay healthy till you get immune to local environment and culture.

Where do Sherpa come from?

Sherpa a tribe of Himalaya spread out throughout Nepal and in Northern India as well, where most are concentrated in Solu and Khumbu district of Mid-East Nepal a Tibetan origin, in Tibetan language Sher means East and pa for people.

Meaning East People of Tibet migrated to Nepal more than past 500 years of history, Sherpa men are the pioneer in mountaineering and guiding on treks and mountains, they are born mountaineers, where history shows late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa who first conquered Mt. Everest in May 29th 1953 with British Expeditions. At present many mountaineering expeditions are fully depended on Sherpa climbers to leads the climb to various mountains summit around Himalaya.
