Trekking through delightful lovely farm villages and entering cool forest area to reach at Dharapani unto Chame town. After crossing scenic Manang valley, where step diverts from the main trail to the remote and isolated destination at Tilicho Lake. With ample time to explore around turquoise-colored, Tilicho Lake enclosed by Tilicho and Gangapurna peaks. Then heading back to Annapurna circuit route to reach the highest spot of the adventure on top Thorang-la pass at high 5,416 m, offers breathtaking views of mountains and magnificent landscapes.

Where walk comes to an end reaching Jomsom the headquarter town of Mustang district after staying overnight at the holy spot of Muktinath on route Jomsom the home of Thakali people. March to May and September to November months, March to May a springtime and the best time with wild-flowers in full bloom, especially the rhododendron (Nepal national flower).

Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m - 05 hrs.
  • Walk starts after breakfast in local lodge at Jagat to reach at Dharapani village

  • After refreshing stop at Tal continue walk to reach much cooler areas at Dharapani for overnight halt.

Day 05: Trek to Chame 2,670 m - 05 hrs.
  • After breakfast walk to Timang village past Bagarchap and Dhanaque villages

  • From Timang another 2-3 hrs walk to reach at Chame, headquarter town of Manang district.

Day 06: Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m - 05 hrs.
  • Morning with hearty breakfast at Chame walk to Pisang village of 5 hrs journey
  • Walk leads into nice alpine forest of pines and rhododendron tree lines with uphill and downhill to Pisang.
  • Reaching Pisang village transfer to nice lodge, where Manang valley begins from here with views of Annapurna-Pisang and Chulu peaks.

Day 07: Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m - 05 hrs.
  • Morning into woodland with climb to a scenic ridge with views of Manang valley
  • Walk descend within flat valley past Hongde with small airstrip and mountain views
  • Reach at Braga village and visit old Braga Buddhist monastery of great interest

Day 17: From Jomsom Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel by the lake.
  • Morning by 7 a.m. transfer to Jomsom airport a short walk from the lodge
  • As time for flight board in a small aircraft (Dornier or Twin Otter plane) a flight of less than half hour.
  • Enjoy wonderful views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna during short flight
  • Land at Pokhara airport and transfer to respective hotels by the Phewa Lake

When do I book for Tilicho-Lake and Semi Annapurna Circuit Trekking?

Depending upon time and duration for the trek you can book this trip at least 2-3 weeks ahead from our departure dates for the trek, with advance payment as per the norms and rules of the company.

Make sure that you have checked your medical and physical fitness before signing the trip and as well purchasing medical and travel insurance which is very important for this kind of adventurous treks in Nepal Himalaya.

 

What will be weather like on the trek?

As per the season wise, where best time is from March to May, when most of the day is clear with minimum temperatures of 0° to 20° Celsius depending upon the altitude and areas.

Where most of the morning till mid days clears for views and walks, sometimes afternoon can get overcast with chances of light rains and snow. March to May will be lively with wild-flowers in full bloom especially various species of rhododendron (national flower of Nepal) from trees to short bushes.

 

How are the lodge and Tea-House on Treks?

Each village on route with more than 10 to 20 good lodges with pleasant rooms accommodations, serving excellent food menus as per the season wise.

Some village above 2,500 m and 3,000 m do have nice lodge, but due to freezing cold temperatures in night and morning time where they have toilets on the outside, with some inside as common bath rooms and rest rooms.

All rooms and dining with warm heating and cozy facilities to make your stay much pleasant and enjoyable.

Are there electricity and network for cell-phones?

Most of the places do have electricity on route trekking run by hydro-power after main villages, where much of electric supply are private and individual of the lodge owners with sun / solar power to activate electric just for the lodge and as well for customers to charge their computers and cell-phones.

Some places do have networks for cell phones and as well for internets like Wi-Fi above Manang valley some areas due to high peaks and hills, the networks are disturbed in deep areas like around river gorge areas.

At present nearly all people in Nepal including remote villages do have assist to cell-phones with fine network connection only in bad weather the line can be broken, otherwise it is fine in working order.

What to expect on this journey?

Scenic views of world’s highest mountains with Dhaulagiri-Annapurna and Manaslu range include magnificent Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’ peaks, where walk leads you around Buddhist country interwoven with old traditional life and custom similar to Tibetans.

Walk leads to visit Manang-Thakali-Magar / Poon and Gurung villages encountering many farm fields and terraces of interesting traditional life of the local villagers.

Is it really spectacular in flowering times of March to May?

Best seasons for botany students during March to May, flower and nature lovers, where hills and valley alive with wild flowers in full bloom with riots of different colors, rhododendron from tall trees to short bushes will be in flowering times, rhododendron national flower of Nepal.
