Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu via various airlines and transfer to hotel.

• Explore around the streets of Kathmandu and Thamel area.
• Trek briefing includes welcome dinner in authentic Nepalese restaurants with cultural programs of the country.

Day 02: In Kathmandu options for sightseeing tour and trek preparation.

• Time Kathmandu preparation for Tamang Heritage Trail trek within high Langtang
  and Central Himalaya
• Options for sightseeing tour around Kathmandu at places of interest.

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,503 m- 06 hrs.

• Morning drive beyond Kathmandu to Dhunche town and at Syabrubesi village for overnight stop
• Syabrubesi located around Langtang Himal region of Rasuwa district the home of Tamang tribes

Day 04: Trek to Gatlang 2,236 m - 05 hrs.

• From Syabrubesi trek past farm areas above a river to reach forested area of tall rhododendron-oaks-pines and magnolia trees.
• Walk farm area with gentle climb to reach a large Tamang village at Gatlang for overnight stop.
• Welcomed with warm ceremony of traditional Buddhism, transfer to local home-stay for overnight stop
• Explore interesting villages and interact with natives of Gatlang village.

Day 05: Trek to Tatopani 2, 605 m - 05 hrs.

• Morning views of Ganesh and Langtang mountains with slow climb uphill
• Walk into woodland to Tatopani village for overnight stop.
• A place with natural hot spring called as ‘Tatopani’ in Nepalese
• Enjoy dip in the hot spring pool and then explore around this quiet farm village.

Day 06: Trek to Thuman 2,390 m via Nagthali 3,154 m - 04 hrs.

• Short morning walk to reach highest spot of the trek at Nagthali Hill top
• Few hour descend to Thuman, located on route Tibet border facing views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung .
• Explore local impressive village cultures another impressive Tamang farm village.

Day 07: Trek to Thuman 2,390 m and drive to Syabrubesi - 06 hrs.

• From Thuman last day walk heading back to Syabrubesi village on alternative trail around Rasuwa district and Langtang Himal region.
• Enjoy final walk of the great journey with views and culture around this scenic country of Tamang people.
• Last overnight stop in Langtang region and within Tamang villages at Syabrubesi

Day 08: Drive to Kathmandu -06 hrs.

• After trekking around Rasuwa district back to Kathmandu, on completing wonderful adventure on Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking
• Transfer to respective hotels with rest of the afternoon free at leisure

Day 09: International Departure homeward bound or respective countries.

• Depart from the hotel as per your time for international flights.

Is it good and safe to bring children on this walks?

Yes it is safe and enjoyable for children especially from above 5 years, where we will have extra guide and porter in case needs to carry kids, on high and downhill walks.

How many people will be in the group?

From minimum 3-4 person in the group with maximum of 10-15 persons in the group, in some cases we do allow booking for single person as well, running independent at extra cost than in groups.

What will be weather like on the trek?

As per the season wise, where best time is from March to May, when most of the day is clear with minimum temperatures of 0° to 20° Celsius depending upon the altitude and areas.

Where most of the morning till mid days clears for views and walks, sometimes afternoon can get overcast with chances of light rains and snow. April to May will be lively with wild-flowers in full bloom especially various species of rhododendron (national flower of Nepal) from trees to short bushes.

How are the lodge and Tea-House on Treks?

Tea-House the word used in early days when there was smaller numbers of lodges on route trekking, at present each villages has more than 10 to 20 good lodges with pleasant rooms accommodations, serving excellent food menus as per the season wise.

Some village above 2,500 m and 3,000 m do have nice lodge, but due to freezing cold temperatures in night and morning time where they have toilets on the outside, with some inside as common bath rooms and rest rooms.

All rooms and dining with warm heating and cozy facilities to make your stay much pleasant and enjoyable.

Are there electricity and network for cell-phones?

Most of the places do have electricity on route trekking run by hydro-power after main villages, where much of electric supply are private and individual of the lodge owners with sun / solar power to activate electric just for the lodge and as well for customers to charge their computers and cell-phones.

Some places do have networks for cell phones and as well for internets like Wi-Fi above Langtang village and around Kyanjin, some areas due to high peaks and hills, the networks are disturbed in deep areas like around river gorge areas.

At present nearly all people in Nepal including remote villages do have assist to cell-phones with fine network connection only in bad weather the line can be broken, otherwise it is fine in working order.

What happens if some is sick and have to break the trek?

In this situation where our guides are well equipped with knowledge for emergency and medical purpose, depending upon the seriousness of the victims if it is much critical where nearest medical attention needed, we call for immediate evacuation for Helicopter services to reach the victims to nearest medical station and hospital.

What to expect on this journey?

Scenic views of world’s highest mountains with Langtang-Ganesh and Jugal Himal range includes interesting culture on route treks, where walk leads you around Buddhist country interwoven with old traditional life and custom similar to Tibetans.

Walk leads to visit Tamang villages encountering many farm fields and terraces of interesting traditional life of the local villagers.

Who are Tamang people?

Tamang tribes are high hills people of Nepal spread around Himalaya throughout the country, where most concentrated within Langtang and Ganesh Himal area of Buddhist religion and origin, these hill tribes are famous as craftsmen as well merry making with dance and music, and Tamang are mostly farmers and cattle herders as traditional profession.

Is best flowering times from March to May?

Best months of the year and seasons for botany students, flower and nature lovers, where hills and valley alive with wild flowers in full bloom with riots of different colors, rhododendron from tall trees to short bushes will be in flowering times, rhododendron national flower of Nepal also.
