Day 04: Drive to Nayapul start walk to Tirkhedhunga 1,460 m- 05 hrs.

  • On reaching the walking spot few hours walks to Tirkhedhunga a Gurung village with waterfalls close to overnight lodge.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani 2,880 m-06 hrs.

Day 06: Hike to Poon Hill 3,210 and trek to Tadapani 2,630 m - 05 hrs.
  • Morning before breakfast start climb to Poon Hill
  • After 1-2 hrs walks at Poon Hill enjoy sunrise over panorama of mountains
  • View includes Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu to Annapurna and as far to Ganesh Himal including Mt. Machhapuchare “The Fish Tail”.
  • Return to Ghorepani for breakfast and walk to Tadapani for overnight stop
  • Lunch at another Bhanthati a small settlement located on a gorge
  • Afternoon few hour walk down and up to Tadapani and transfer to local lodge.

Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk Village 1,940 m -04 hrs.
  • Morning after breakfast walk into forest and downhill to reach Ghandruk village
  • Lunch and overnight stop at Ghandruk after 3-4 hrs of good walk
  • Afternoon explore around Gurung village at Ghandruk and its museum

Day 08: Trek to road head and drive to Pokhara-05 hrs.
  • Last day trek after breakfast downhill to low warm farm areas a 3-4 hrs walk
  • From Kimche or Syali bazaar drive to Pokhara past Bhirethati and Nayapul village and town.

Can I bring family with children on this trek?

Yes, this will be an exciting holiday for your people as well for adults, where walk leads to ups and downs; that is only the tough bit; otherwise, it’s a tremendously exciting walk for all.

For minor infants, please bring carriage with straps to carry the younger kids, especially on ups and down trails, where we can hire extra porters to take the baby with the carrige.

What will be weather like on the trek?

As per the season-wise, where the best time is from March to May when most of the day is bright with minimum temperatures of 0° to 20° Celsius depending upon the altitude and areas.

Where most of the morning till middays bright for the scene and keep walks, maybe sometimes afternoon can be overcast with chances of light rains and snow. March to May will be the best month of the wild-flowers in full blooming, mainly various types of rhododendron (national flower of Nepal) from trees to short bushes.

How are lodge and Tea-House on Treks?

Tea-House the word used in early days when there were smaller numbers of lodges on route trekking, at present each village has more than 10 to 20 good lodges with pleasant rooms accommodations, serving excellent food menus as per the season-wise.

Some villages above 2,500 m do have the lovely lodge, but due to cold temperatures in night and morning time where they have toilets on the outside, with some inside as shared bathrooms and restrooms.

All rooms and dining with warm heating and cozy facilities to make your stay much pleasant and enjoyable.

Who are Gurung - Magar / Poon people?

The Gurung-Poon of Magar tribes is high hills people of Nepal Far Mid-West Himalaya spread out throughout Nepal, where most concentrated within Annapurna and Dhaulagiri area of both Hindu and Buddhist religion and origin. These hill tribes are famous as legendary Gurkha soldiers in the foreign legion, and army like British, India as well as some are the police force in Singapore and security guards in many parts of the world overseas.

Besides men-folk as famous Gurkha soldiers, the hill people are mostly farmers and cattle herders as a traditional profession.

Is it beautiful in spring flowering times of March to May?

Yes, where hills and valley alive with wildflowers in full bloom with riots of different colors, rhododendron from tall trees to short bushes will be in flowering times, national rhododendron flower of Nepal also.
