Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)

Adventure Alpine Gorkha Treks representative will pick up from the airport and drop to the hotel. You may arrive early in the day, take a few hours rest and visit our office. We will introduce your guide and briefing about the trekking program with us. You must bring your passport photocopy, three passport size pictures with your insurance policy copy. If you arrive late evening we will tomorrow morning talking about your whole program. Rest of the due amount clear before starting a trip. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel

Day 02 Drive to Pokhara (900m) from Kathmandu

Activity: 7-8 hour drive

Altitude: 900m

Meal: Breakfast

After having breakfast leave Kathmandu’s drive to Pokhara. A few minutes’ drives left the crowed city Kathmandu and enjoy the scenic drive along the Trushuli river valley. Along the drive, you will see green hills, paddy fields, Rivers, a village with mountains range views. When you arrive at Pokhara, you will be amazed by the magnificent views of mountain Annapurna, DHAULAGARI, Fishtail, Manaslu and many more. Day 03 Fly to Jomsom and trek to Kagbeni (2,858m)

Activity: 18-minute flight and 3-4 walk

Early morning picturesque flight to Jomsom crossing the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range. You will get amazed by the Ariel views of the snow-covered mountains and deepest gorge of Kalagandaki. Then you will meet with your porter and heading towards the Kagbani. Day 04 Trek to Chele (3,050m)

Activity: 5-6 walk

Today you will check your permits and continued your journey through the Kalagandaki valley. The treks lead you to walk the sand with the windy valley of Upper mustang. The trekking trail crossing the beautiful villages, whitewashed houses, narrow alleyway, barley and buckwheat with apple orchid. Day 05 Trek to Ghiling (3806m)

From the Chele, trekking trail flows the long steep, treeless barren and dry land with a spectrally beautiful surrounding side of a deep canyon pass a cairn of rock. You will walk above the Samar village flowing the George until pass another valley, where you cross the cold stream and juniper trees up to another ridge at 3800m. Then you will climb the Taklam La Pass (3,624m/11,923 ft) through narrow stretches, where you can enjoy the views of Tilicho Peak, Yakawa Kang, and Damodar Danda. Here you flow the ridge and descend to Shyangmochen. You will cross the highest point of the pass and descend to the Ghiling village. Overnight at tea house

Day 06 Trek to Charang (3575m)

Activity: 5-6 walk

Altitude: 3575m

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Trekking trail descents through the grey, blue and red cliff across the valley and cross the suspension bridge Tangmar the Chu. You will walk across the plateau and passes the longest and most amazing wall in Upper Mustang. Then the trail leads towards the village of Charang (Tsarang), with willow trees, maze field with separated walls houses. Then you will visit huge five-story white Dzong and red Gompa are the attraction of the villages. Day 07 Charang trek to Lo- Manthang (3700m)

Activity: 5-6 walk

Altitude: 3700m

The journey begins with the descent hill walk from Charang and crossing the Tsarang Chu with crossing the ridge of the opposite village at 3580m and arrive at Tholung village. Then the trekking trail gradually ascends the windy pass of Lo, where you can explore the Lo-Manthang valley. You will views the walls of the magnificent hills of the Tibetan border. You make a short descent walk and cross the stream and climb up to the Lo-Manthang village. Overnight at tea house

Day 08 Tiji Festival begins 1 day of Tiji May 31

In upper mustang trek, Lo-Manthang is the remote walled town in Nepal. Today you spend a day exploring the major Gompas of the town, namely Jhampa, Thupchen, and Chhoeda. Also, you can trek Tingkhar beautiful village, which is located north-west of Lo-Mangthang. The first day of the Tiji festival monk dance is called “TSA CHHAM”. This day legend ‘DorjeJono’ was born as Demon’s son:-rebirth Buddha to a demon. The mask dancer monk portrayed the myth Dorje Jono, who fight with the demon through the magical power and dance. As the end dance, Dorje Jono kills the devil, which is the victory over the devil thing and on the occasion they started to celebrate Tiji festivals.

Day 09 Second Day of Tiji Festival June 01

The second day also danced by the monk, it is called “NGA CHHAM”. This time Dorje Jono tries Demento to return to Lord Buddha’s realm.

Day 10 Third day of Tiji Festival: June 02

The third day is the final of the Tiji festival. During the festivals, the villagers offering their representative in their kingdom harvest to King Dorje Jono to protect their food from storms from the demon was in Buddhist kingdom in all villages of upper mustang within three days.

Day 11 Lo-Manthang trekking to Ghami via Lo-Gekker (3520m)

You will make your return journey via crossing the alpine meadow. Then trekking trail climb steeply cairn on a pass at 4000m through Lo Gekar, it offers the last chance of Lo-Manthang village. You will cross the Chogo La (4325m), the highest point on this trek. Today gives you to experience the ancient Ghar Gompa made by Guru Rimpoche more than 1200 years ago. The Gompa was painted by the rocks with ledged fulfilling good wishes. Trekking trail descends passing through the whitewashed buildings of Ghemi villages. The place is surrounded by deserted land. Day 12 Ghami trekking to Samar (3520m)

The trekking trail flows the Ghami valley with the dusty and windy trail. You will walk through the arid plateau and crops field in between the trail. Day 15 Fly back to Pokhara, 18 minutes flight

 Adventure Alpine Gorkha Treks provide the best accommodation service as per your interest in city areas but trekking region based on local service. You can get luxurious service provider hotel star categorized as per the guest choice. In Nepal 5/4/3 star hotels are available. They provide luxurious hospitality with standard accommodation how much did you pay for the hotel service.

Besides, during the Upper mustang trek provide the common accommodation twin sharing room service. They provide a comfortable bedroom service with a sharing bathroom. Upper Mustang region trek there can be home-stay style accommodation available. If you are trek in high season, you have to bring a sleeping bag because of the crowd of the guest. The tea houses only provide only one blanket but it will not sufficient for higher elevation trek. However, the tea house provides healthy and comfortable accommodation during the trek.

Meal 

As per our planning, we provide breakfast and bed service in Pokhara and Kathmandu but in trek all meal included. In city areas, you will get the verities of meal services from the national and international meals items are included hotels and restaurant menu. But in the trekking region may not available. Upper Mustang region trek also has a menu but few items can be found. The tea houses provide the local and energetic food for the higher altitude trek. You can get traditional Nepali food Dal, Bhat with curry with other international foods also found in a cushion. But they focused on healthy and hygienic food for the Upper mustang trek.

Transpiration on journey

Altitude sickness

Altitude sickness is the main issue for the high Himalayan land trekking. For the Everest base camp trek, you have to physically fit and strong with can easily adopt a new environment. Otherwise, you may have suffered from altitude sickness. If you are planning altitude trek, you have one month before the preparation of the hiking, walking for a long hour or physical fitness activities, morning walk, the gym will help to strengthen your body. There are some symptoms of mild altitude sickness like headache, vomiting, dizziness and uncomfortable your body. To overcome this problem having soup items food like Garlic soup, noodles soup and a verity of soup items. Drink plenty of water for the hydrate your body. Don’t use smoke and alcohol. Walk slowly with sufficient rest for the high altitude trek. If you flow these things you easily accomplished the journey. If you suffer a lot from the altitude sickness you have to have medicine or as soon as possible trek back to the lower elevation of the trek. Payment method

You can pay a different method of your trip cost. Nowadays available multiple systems to pay the trip cost like online, wire pay, QR code scanning from your visa, Master card but it will chard 4% extra charge. You can pay the rest of the due amount to our meeting but it will not charge.

Luggage 

During the Everest base camp trek, the porter will carry your luggage. Your luggage has around 70-80L capacity, which can easily bring your trekking gears. Luggage should be waterproof and comfortable to carry your helper. Porter will carry 20 KG around load your trekking gears. Besides, you should carry your daypack, which helps to bring your necessary documents like a water bottle, sunscreen, camera, spare jacket, etc. The domestic airlines Kathmandu to Lukla flight weight allowance 15Kg and more weight you have to pay an extra amount per kg 1USD depending on the areas. You will enjoy the trip without heavy load luggage, porter and guide will provide you an amazing adventurous journey.

Water facilities

Yes, you can get good facilities for drinking water in trekking. You can get mineral water but tea houses provide safe drinking water. You must bring the bottle you can pour the water from the tea house. If you want to minimize your cost you can bring water purifiers or tables to purify the water. However the city areas you can get mineral water and not too much expensive. But in higher elevation, it will be a bit expensive.

Travel Insurance 

Everest base camp trek is the altitude trekking region in Nepal. Thus you have to travel insurance to take part in this region trek. This is adventurous as well as challenging trekking trail in Everest region. We can’t be assured that nothing will happen in altitude trek. If you are physically fit and strong sometime you will face any kind of difficult situation. There may be altitude sickness, or any other physical disconformity creates problems during the trek. While starting a journey you have to confirm that your travel insurance coverage the emergency evacuation, medicine for the bad health, flight cancellation or delayed with luggage lost. It is a very important aspect for the higher altitude trek like Everest base camp trek.
