Walk leads from low warm farm areas after an exciting drive from Kathmandu to reach the trekking point at Lamjung district, located Mid-West Nepal and then heading towards cooler hills within enchanting alpine woodland exploring nice villages of Dharapani-Chame town to reach at Manang village situated within scenic valley enclosed by array of peaks of Annapurna and Chulus.

Having rest day at lovely village Manang where you can visit and soak into age-old Buddhist cultures and traditions life of the Manang people, and taking short hike to support acclimatization around this beautiful valley. From Manang heading towards highest spot of the adventure to reach on top Thorang-la pass at above 5,416 m with sweeping panorama of high mountains facing views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Damodar Himal and group of Chulus peaks.

Enjoying views a long descend to Kaligandaki River valley to reach at Jomsom past holy spot of Muktinath, one of the holiest temples for Hindu followers where journey leads to Jomsom the headquarter town of Mustang district. As adventure progress to reach at Tatopani village with warm low country a place with natural hot-spring to enjoy after passing through world deepest gorge of Kaligandaki River valley.

After Tatopani with refreshing stop heading back to cooler hills filled with lovely rhododendron trees at Ghorepani where hike takes you to Poon Hill for super 360° views of mountain range.

Main Best Seasons for Annapurna Circuit Trekking

Nearly all seasons of the year can be trekked, where March to May spring time will be the best time when wild-flowers especially the rhododendron (Nepal national flower) in full bloom, which the walk more interesting with fine clear morning till afternoon, with some chances of rains sometimes.

October to early December another best months around Autumn/Fall and beginning of winter time, when most of the days are clear for views and walks but can be much colder and freezing as altitude gains with chances of snow sometimes.

Monsoon months from mid June to mid September a wet rainy seasons where less number of trekkers venture, and some lodge in mid monsoon and mid winter as most of the lodge can be closed on route trekking, due to harsh and wet climate which makes the walking trails much harder and slippery, but much greener hills with lush vegetation in wet seasons, so the choice as per your holidays for Nepal and for Annapurna Circuit Trekking.

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu via various airlines and transfer to hotel.
  • Reaching Kathmandu received by our staff and guide

Day 03: Drive to Jagat 1,290 m via Besisar 800 m - 06 hrs.
  • Morning long drive early 7 a.m to reach Nepal Mid-West at Lamjung district
  • Driving on main highway to reach low warm at Besisar, headquarter town of the area Lamjung.
  • Transfer to another vehicle for drive to high hill at Jagat village for overnight stop after 6-7 hrs of nteresting overland journey.
  • Jagat a nice hill village active with farm life and views of cascading waterfalls

Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m - 05 hrs.
  • Walk starts after breakfast in local lodge at Jagat to reach at Dharapani village
  • Route leads through nice cool forest to reach Chamje and Tal-Besi within Manang district, possible lunch at Tal.
  • After refreshing stop at Tal continue walk to reach much cooler areas at Dharapani for overnight halt.
  • Dharapani a nice large village on the junction of Annapurna and Manaslu route

Day 05: Trek to Chame 2,670 m - 05 hrs.
  • After breakfast walk to Timang village past Bagarchap and Dhanaque villages
  • Walk of 3-4 hrs to lunch at Timang village with grand views of Manaslu-Lamjung and Annapurna peak.
  • From Timang another 2-3 hrs walk to reach at Chame, headquarter town of Manang district.

Day 06: Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m - 05 hrs.
  • Morning with hearty breakfast at Chame walk to Pisang village of 5 hrs journey
  • Walk leads into nice alpine forest of pines and rhododendron tree lines with uphill and downhill to Pisang.
  • Reaching Pisang village transfer to nice lodge, where Manang valley begins from here with views of Annapurna-Pisang and Chulu peaks.

Day 07: Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m - 05 hrs.
  • Morning into woodland with climb to a scenic ridge with views of Manang valley
  • Walk descend within flat valley past Hongde with small airstrip and mountain views
  • Reach at Braga village and visit old Braga Buddhist monastery of great interest
  • Enjoy views along an hour long walk to Manang village from Braga
  • Overnight in main Manang village with possible lunch at Braga or at Manang

  • Start walk after nice breakfast cross a stream short climb to reach Thorang Phedi
  • From Thorang Phedi another strenuous climb up to Thorang High Camp for lunch and overnight stop in a cozy lodge
  • Afternoon relax preparation for next day long walk to Muktinath via Thorang-la pass

Day 11: Cross Thorang-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m - 06 hrs.
  • Walk start early morning after breakfast with winding up to top of Thorang-la pass

Frequently Asked Questions


On this Annapurna Circuit treks can I bring family and children?

As long they are fit and strong of above 10 years of age can join in it will be an exciting holidays as well for adults, walk leads to ups and down with high country of Manang with highest point of the adventure crossing over Thorang-la.

Few days will be quite tough for young and elderly people, otherwise it’s a great interesting walks for all.

When do I book for Annapurna Circuit Trekking?

Depending upon your time and duration for the trek you can book this trip at least 2-3 weeks ahead from our departure dates for the trek, with advance payment as per the norms and rules of the company.

Make sure that you have checked your medical and physical fitness before signing the trip and as well purchasing medical and travel insurance which is very important for this kind of adventurous treks in Nepal Himalaya.

How many people will be in the group?

From minimum 3-4 person in the group with maximum of 10-15 persons in the group, in some cases we do allow booking for single person as well, running independent at extra cost than in groups.

What will be weather like on the trek?

As per the season wise, where best time is from March to May, when most of the day is clear with minimum temperatures of 0° to 20° Celsius depending upon the altitude and areas.

Where most of the morning till mid days clears for views and walks, sometimes afternoon can get overcast with chances of light rains and snow. March to May will be lively with wild-flowers in full bloom especially various species of rhododendron (national flower of Nepal) from trees to short bushes.

How are the lodge and Tea-House on Treks?

Tea-House the word used in early days when there was smaller numbers of lodges on route trekking, at present each villages has more than 10 to 20 good lodges with pleasant rooms accommodations, serving excellent food menus as per the season wise.

Some village above 2,500 m and 3,000 m do have nice lodge, but due to freezing cold temperatures in night and morning time where they have toilets on the outside, with some inside as common bath rooms and rest rooms.

All rooms and dining with warm heating and cozy facilities to make your stay much pleasant and enjoyable.

What happens if some is sick and have to break the trek?

In this situation where our guides are well equipped with knowledge for emergency and medical purpose, depending upon the seriousness of the victims if it is much critical where nearest medical attention needed, we call for immediate evacuation for Helicopter services to reach the victims to nearest medical station and hospital.
